In 1983, Dr. Gary Holland graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He then attended the Medical College of Virginia, graduating with his MD in 1987. Dr. Holland completed his residency in 1990 in Boise Idaho and was Board Certified in Family Medicine. 

In 1998, Dr. Holland moved to Pastaza, Ecuador where he became fluent in Spanish and volunteered his skills at a Christian mission hospital. Upon returning to the United States in 2002, Dr. Holland began specializing in hospice and palliative care. As the full-time Medical Director of Home Medical Services he continues to render his incredible talent and bedside manner to its deserving patients, in both English and Spanish. 

In 2004, Dr. Holland earned his Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care, becoming one of the few Hospice Medical Directors to carry this higher designation and a verified expert in pain management. Dr. Holland’s dedication and attention to each patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual care provide hope in times of pain and sickness.
